Chalet Altenried
Chalet Altenried is situated on the Altenriedstrasse 58.
On a small road starting in the village, you find after about three kilometres, the house on your right hand side.
Standing completely free, looking over the fields and up to the Rinderberg.
When you enter the chalet you have the living in front of you. The kitchen and bathroom, with shower and toilet, on the right hand side. The living has got folding doors giving access to the terrace, with windows on three sides.
Going up the staircase you have three big bedrooms (each about 15m2 with two beds and the possibility to put in each room an extra bed, or baby bed. There is also a bathroom with shower and toilet.
In summer there are many possibilities to make long or short walks, enjoying the views. You can take a lift going up the mountains and start walking high up. The lifts work the whole summer.
There is a booklet available with many sugestions. Don’t forget to enjoy the swimming pool in the river with crystal clear water.
In winter there are many options to choose from for skiing or walking. Zweisimmen has got a ski school and there are private teachers, all at walking distance from the chalet. The little ones have their area a little bit down our road.
The complete area for skiing is more than 250 km piste including Zweisimmen, Saanersloch and Gstaad.
Zweisimmen has got several super markets, Aldi, Coop and Migro and of course there are several gourmet shops. In the villages and in the mountains are quite a range of restaurants. The tourism office is in the railway station.
